Shawn was great to work with! We were happy with the bathroom he worked with us to renovate and appreciated his guidance along the way. He listened to what we wanted and left us with a beautiful bathroom that matched our wishes for it. He was very communicative along the way, which was a major help to the process.

After nearly two years of not being able to live in my house due to a botched restoration (and the last nine months as a new mother), I was lucky enough to find Shawn Allbritton of Clear River Contracting. Not only did Shawn put me immediately at ease with his knowledge and honest demeanor, working with him has been such a relief and delight after a long series of mishaps. Clear communication, friendly attitude, and stress-free problem solving from Shawn meant I was able to get back into my house as quickly as possible with beautiful and professional results. I am so happy to be back in my house!! I plan to continue to work with Shawn to address the cosmetic issues that still remain from the previous contractor. I’m grateful to have found someone I can trust and I would highly recommend working with him.

I first booked with Clear River for a remodel of our downstairs bedroom, which was in pretty rough shape. I had put off calling anyone about it for awhile because I’m not exactly a handyman sort of guy, and I didn’t even know where to start or what to ask for. Thankfully, I struck gold on my first call to these guys. I spoke with Shawn, who turned out to be the owner, and he was very professional and personable. We talked through some basic options on the phone, and he said we could hash out the rest once he was able to examine the room. I was pleasantly surprised by that flexibility and by how quickly he was able to fit me in. I expected to wait months, but it wasn’t even a week! Once he got there and took a look around, it turned out that it actually needed less work than we’d originally thought. Now, keep in mind, I know next to nothing about this stuff. I thought the room was totally trashed. He could have charged me to replace the walls, window, and ceiling, and I’d have been none the wiser. But he didn’t, and the cost was much less since he only ended up having to remove the wall panelling, replace the trim, and repaint. And it still ended up the best-looking room in the entire house. His honesty saved me money and impressed the hell out of me, too. I ended up hiring him again later to redo most of the downstairs to match the bedroom’s quality, and then once more for the garage. The quality was top-notch every time. Seriously good work from this company, and I can’t recommend them enough.
